On behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Police and Emergency Services, I thank the member for some notice of this question. WA Police advises that since the Cannabis Control Act was proclaimed on 23 March 2004, the following infringement notices have been issued by police under the Misuse of Drugs Act - (a) section 5, 2 585; (b) section 6, 4 118; and (c) section 7, 206. Due to time constraints I am unable to provide any further breakdown.
