WESTERN POWER — CONDUCTOR
FAILURE RISK
364. Hon JAMES HAYWARD to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the Western Power State
of the infrastructure report 2020/21 .
(1) With regard to the 3 769 conductors considered to
be at higher risk of failure, when will this risk be removed?
(2) With regard
to the 567 kilometres of high-risk conductors in high population centres and
bushfire-prone risk areas, when will that risk be removed?
(3) What action is
Western Power able to take to remove the risk of clashing conductors
considering the likelihood of increased extreme weather events in the future?
(4) What is the estimated cost of removing the risk of
clashing conductors across the south west interconnected system?
