(a-c) WALGA and its precursors have been included in the Local Government Act since 1995. This is consistent with many other Australian jurisdictions.
The Local Government Act 1995 is currently under review. Second phase submission are due by 31 March 2019. The Minister will put out his response to the Act Review in due course.
