I refer to all public metropolitan hospitals with paid parking (including those that are public hospitals with private operators) and ask: (a) what was the hourly rate for visitor parking at each of these hospitals, listed by hospital, for each financial year from 2008/9 to present; (b) what was the hourly rate for staff at each hospital, listed by hospital, for each financial year from 2008/9 to present; (c) what was the maximum daily rate for visitor parking at each of these hospital, listed by hospital, for each financial year from 2008/9 to present; (d) what was the maximum daily rate for staff, listed by hospital, for each financial year to present; (e) how many parking fines have been issued, listed by hospital, during the 2014/15 financial year; (f) what was the total revenue from parking infringements, listed by hospital, for the 2014/15 financial year; (g) what was the total revenue from parking, listed by hospital, for the 2014/15 financial year; and (h) which hospitals offer a concession rate of parking for frequent visitors (eg. chemotherapy, renal patients) and what is the eligibility criteria to access the concession rate?

Parking charges are in line with the WA Department of Health’s Access and Parking Strategy for Health Campuses in the Perth Metropolitan Area .

(h) Targeted subsidised parking schemes are in place at SCGH, Royal Perth Hospital, Fremantle Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) and assessments are made via the hospitals’ Social Work Departments. There is a number of eligibility criteria, including assessment of whether the patient is receiving certain ongoing treatment, consideration of financial difficulty and availability of other suitable transport options.
Eligibility for subsidised parking (at the above listed hospitals) is currently based upon the patient meeting all the following criteria;
For adult patients:
Eligibility criteria has been extended to Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients:
For a child patient under 17 years:
FSH:
In addition to the above criteria; patients who are required to attend FSH over a prolonged time frame for the same treatment may be eligible for subsidised parking on site.
Hyperbaric, Renal, Cancer Services and Cystic Fibrosis patients who have explored all alternate means of transport may be assessed for eligibility for subsidised parking. Patients approved for the subsidy will receive discounted parking such that the cost of parking whilst attending hyperbaric treatment, cancer treatment or dialysis will be capped at $5.
All State Rehabilitation Service (SRS) patients who have a length of stay longer than 10 days are eligible for subsidised parking. SRS patients will have parking reduced to $2 per hour capped at $10 per day. This subsidy will occur after the first 10 days, i.e. from day 11.
Cancer and Renal Services Patients must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for subsidised parking:

Note: Possession of a health care card (or other evidence of financial hardship) is not required for this cohort who meet the above criteria.
Joondalup Health Campus (JHC):
In certain cases consideration is given to the provision of Temporary free parking Permits for visitors who meet at least one of the following criteria (listed below, note this is a guide):
