Five 5. 1999-2000 4.2% 2000-2001 14.2% This is an anomaly related to the Northam Bypass project on Great Eastern Highway. The Contract award price was $38.34M, however the final project cost was $48.74M. The reason for this increase was because of variations to the contract after award (including subsequent realignment to avoid Aboriginal sites which were not known at the time of design) and major claims from the contractor and extent of rock formations that were not known at the time of contract award. 2001-2002 1.3% 6.
