minister representing the Minister for Housing:
(1) When will the final site
clean-up of the demolished Churchill Park Guest House in Busselton be
completed?
(2) What was
the total cost of the demolition and clean-up?
(3) Has the
department planned the future use of the site?
(4) If yes
to (3), what use is planned and what is the time frame?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
The
Department of Housing advises the following.
(1) It will
be completed in March 2014.
(2) The
total cost is $258 747.
(3) Yes.
(4) The site is earmarked for a
purpose-built women's refuge for Busselton Women's Refuge Inc.
This is subject to confirmation of ongoing operational funding for the services
required to operate this facility. Alternatively, social or affordable housing
options will be considered. The site has been cleared. The time frame of future
development will be subject to confirmation of the above.
