1.         Some elements of the Water Corporation investment plan may change over time with the changing needs of the community and as water and wastewater options are evaluated and agreed. This means the 6 - 10 year investment plan may also be adjusted. For the Perth and Peel region:
(a)      - (c) Not applicable.  Water efficiency and conservation for households, commerce and industry is funded through operating expenditure.
(d)               Seawater desalination - $366 million (M).
(e)                Groundwater replenishment using treated wastewater - $430M.
(f)                Development of new groundwater sources - $66M.
(g)               Wastewater recycling as a resource for industry, public open spaces and agriculture - $2M.
2.         Some elements of the Water Corporation investment plan may change over time with the changing needs of the community and as water and wastewater options are evaluated and agreed. This means the 6 - 10 year investment plan may also be adjusted. Statewide:
(a)      - (c) Not applicable. Water efficiency and conservation for households, commerce and industry is funded through operating expenditure.
(d)               Seawater desalination - $366M.
(e)                Groundwater replenishment using treated wastewater - $430M.
(f)                Development of new groundwater sources - $446M is allocated to asset replacement in existing schemes, upgrading existing schemes and new schemes.
(g)               Wastewater recycling as a resource for industry, public open spaces and agriculture - $304M is allocated for upgrades to Country Treated Wastewater Management systems.  The proportion of this expenditure that would be allocated to wastewater recycling as a resource for industry, public open spaces and agriculture, will be determined on a case basis.
