The State Government is continuing to invest in regional communities by providing almost $104 million in funding to deliver more Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH) homes for essential government workers in the regions in the 2025-2026 State Budget. This will deliver more than 100 additional GROH homes across the State and includes funding to acquire land for the program to continue construction.
Since 2021-22, the State Government has committed almost $430 million in new GROH and refurbishment of existing stock.

* When staff stay at a caravan park, it is typically in a cottage/self-contained accommodation.
Accommodation of this nature is used for a temporary arrangement, for example while an employee is awaiting GROH availability.
