STUDENT GUILDS — AMENITY AND SERVICE FEES
26. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
(1) Is there
currently any review being conducted into or reconsideration of the current
provisions of amenity and service fees charged to university students for
services provided by student guilds?
(2) If so, what
are the details of that review or reconsideration?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) There is no review.
Consideration is being given to requests from the state's public
universities to streamline the current provisions to enable a more timely and
appropriate response to changes in commonwealth policy on student amenity and
service fees. The request does not relate to the current amenity and service
fees charged to university students.
