(1) The site area for the Perth police complex on the corner of Roe and Fitzgerald Streets is 4 875 square metres. (2) Based on an extensive assessment, the site at the corner of Lake and Roe Streets was considered to be the preferred location predominantly due to its proximity to Forrest Place and the main Northbridge adult entertainment areas. However, as a result of prolonged delays, combined with escalating building costs associated with the resumption of this site and a request from the owner, Western Australia Police is continuing to investigate alternative sites. In light of those factors, the current site at the corner of Roe and Fitzgerald Streets is considered a suitable alternative.
