I refer to the Ministers response to question without notice No. 1094, and I ask: (a) in response to question without notice No. 1094(2), how many patients were directed to each facility listed; (b) were any patients granted leave to free up beds; (c) were any patients moved to open wards to free up beds; and (d) for the 26 patients waiting for access to a mental health bed, for what time frame was each patient waiting before they were given access to a bed?

Child and Adolescent Health Service:
Bentley Adolescent Unit (BAU) is the only authorised mental health inpatient unit for children and adolescents in WA. BAU has 12 beds for children and adolescents aged between 12 and 17.
At the time that the code yellow was activated, 2 adolescents had been referred under the Mental Health Act for admission to BAU. 1 Referral was from Joondalup Health Campus (North Metropolitan Health Service) and the other from Rockingham General Hospital (South Metropolitan Health Service).
North Metropolitan Health Service:
Six (6) admitted to Graylands Hospital.
One (1) discharged outright from the Mental Health Observation Area (MHOA) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) Emergency Department (ED) to home for community follow up.
Two (2) admitted to Swan Valley Centre at the Swan District Hospital site.
Three (3) admitted to Joondalup Health Campus Mental Health Unit.
One (1) discharged outright from Joondalup Health Campus ED to home for community follow up.
One (1) referred to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Acute Community Intervention Team (ACIT).
One (1) admitted to Ward D20, SCGH.
One (1) discharged outright from the SCGH ED to home for community follow up.
Two (2) were reviewed and forms (involuntary status) rescinded and discharged home for community follow up.
South Metropolitan Health Service:
There were seven (7) patients in South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Emergency Departments waiting for authorised beds at the time the code yellow was called. All patients were reviewed with regard to the most appropriate place for treatment, as per the following determination:
One (1) patient was admitted to a private facility.
Two (2) patients were treated as voluntary patients in the community.
One (1) patient was admitted to the Alma Street Centre, Fremantle Mental Health Service.
One (1) patient was admitted to the Mills Street Centre, Bentley Mental Health Service.
One (1) patient was admitted to Mimidi Park, Peel and Rockingham Mental Health Service.
One (1) patient was admitted to the Bentley Adolescent Unit, Child and Adolescent Health Service.

Patient was located in the community and returned to the emergency department on 13 October 2014. Patient admitted to BAU on 14 October 2014 at 16:35.
Patient 2: Request for admission received on 11 October 2014 at 14:00; patient absconded from emergency department on 12 October 2014 at 00:28. Patient returned to the emergency department on 13 October 2014 in the afternoon. Patient admitted to BAU on 14 October 2014 at 17:15.

Of the 12 patients NMHS MH patients who were admitted to an inpatient mental health unit bed:
· 6 patients were transferred to a bed at Graylands Hospital (Wait times: 54 hours, 50 hours (2), 34 hours, 6 hours, 0 hours).
· 2 patients were transferred to a bed at the Swan Valley Centre (Wait times: 45 hours, 1 hour).
· 3 patients were transferred to a bed at Joondalup Health Campus Mental Health Unit.
(Wait times: 73.8 hours, 45.25 hours, 8.6 hours).
· 1 patient was admitted to D20, SCGH (Wait time: 10 hours).

Of the four (4) patients requiring an authorised bed, admission was within the following timeframe:
