Given that the amount of water being used at present is exceeding target levels - (1) How many additional Water Corporation officers will be involved in ensuring compliance by householders with the existing watering days and times? (2) Will warnings be scrapped and infringement notices issued on the first offence this coming summer? Hon NICK GRIFFITHS

(1)-(2) The appropriate officer of the Water Corporation, I think Mr Ben Jarvis, provided a figure to the honourable member via the media a day or two ago. Like me, he does not seem to be able to recall the precise figure, but I think it is a matter of public record. As the honourable member has pointed out, more personnel will be employed to regulate water usage, but other than that it is not envisaged that the practices of the Water Corporation will change.
