I refer to the in-reach service that supports people in prison who have been found unfit to plead, and I ask: (a) how many people have accessed the in-reach service since it began; (b) for how long have each of these people been incarcerated on their current charges; and (c) how many of the individuals who have accessed the service have since been returned to the community?

a) Seven people who have been found unfit to plead have accessed the service since the service commenced. This excludes the significant number of individuals who are eligible for Commission services who have been sentenced and who are also supported via in-reach professional staff.
b) These individuals have been incarcerated for periods between 18 months and 11 years as below:
· 2002 to 2012: 10 years
· 2003 until current:11 years
· 2003 until current: 11 years
· May 2007 to current: 7 years
· May 2010 to current: 4 years
· July 2010 to current: 4 years
· 2013 to 2014: 18 months
c) To date, two of the individuals referred to above have been returned to the community
