Regarding programs to reduce the salinity of Wellington Dam, for each of the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 to date, what was the:
(a) volume of water diverted from the East Collie River in order to reduce the salt load going into Wellington Dam;
(b) number of tonnes of salt diverted with this water from the East Collie River to reduce the salt load going into Wellington Dam; and
(c) salinity levels measured in Wellington Dam for September of each year.

a) Over a 3 year trial period (2005-2007) 6,114 Ml of water was diverted from the East Collie River.
(b) Over a 3 year trial period (2005-2007) 30,848 tonnes of salt was diverted with this water from the East Collie River.
(c) The average salinity levels in the Wellington Reservoir, taken on the 25 September 2009 for each of the years requested, were as follows:
2005 = 993 mg/L
2006 = 942 mg/L
2007 = 886 mg/L
2008 = 912 mg/L
2009 = 922 mg/L
Note that no diversion of water from the East Collie River was possible in 2008 and 2009.
