GAMBLING MACHINES — REGIONAL AREAS
488. Ms S.F. McGURK to the Minister for
Community Services:
I have a supplementary question. Why
should gamblers not be able to get assistance because the government the
minister is part of has made such a mess of the state's finances?

AnswerView source ↗

This government is fully committed
to supporting the community sector. I could stand here —
Several members interjected.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Bassendean, I call you to order for the third time;
member for Fremantle, for the third time.
Mr
A.J. SIMPSON : I can guarantee that we will continue funding the financial
counselling process after the three years is up. We are fully supportive. I could
stand here all afternoon and talk about 150 community organisations funded for
the community and supporting our community. This government is committed to the
community sector.
