The new Government is re-examining the forward estimates as part of the 2009-10 Budget process.
Forward estimates representing the Government's policy priorities will be released as part of the 2009-2010 Budget.
(1) The Water Corporation's current program for the next stage of infill sewerage for Port Hedland, designated as Port Hedland 9B and 10A, is:
· Finalise design and tender the works December 2008
· Award and commence construction March 2009
· Construction complete June 2010
The planned expenditure for the project is:
Previous $ 360,000
2009 $2,825,000
2010 $4,070,000
2011 $ 20,000
Project total $7,275,000
The project scope is for the provision of mains sewerage infrastructure only. The Infill Sewerage Program policy is that sewer conversions are the responsibility of the property owners.
There are no further works scheduled in this program for Port Hedland
