I refer to question without notice
69 regarding the speed limit along North West Coastal Highway, Glenfield.
(1) Will the
minister or his department consider dropping the speed limit in this section of
the highway to 70 kilometres an hour, the same as set along the highway at the
southern entrance to Geraldton at Mt Tarcoola?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) When will the minister table a copy
of the review undertaken?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) Yes.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) A new speed
zone assessment will be required to determine the appropriateness of a 70-kilometre-an-hour
speed limit. A copy of this assessment will be tabled when complete.
