MUJA AB — REFURBISHMENT
165. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the decision to refurbish the Muja A and B plant.
(1) Has any
capital been paid into Vinalco Energy Pty Ltd by any entity other than Verve
Energy; and, if yes, on what dates, in what amounts, and by whom?
(2) Will the
government require Verve Energy to publish the accounts of Vinalco Energy Pty
Ltd; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) Capital
paid into Vinalco Energy Pty Ltd by Inalco Energy Pty Ltd is $80 000 on 13
August 2010.
(2) This is
not for Verve Energy to respond. On this point, please note that Vinalco Energy
Pty Ltd is a private company with external shareholders. Verve Energy's
annual report will reflect its share of Vinalco Energy Pty Ltd's
financial results to 30 June 2013.
