I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The research study referred to in question without notice 301 is not yet complete. The research study is based on voluntary client participation, and the initial survey received insufficient responses. The initial survey went from January to June 2006 and elicited only 11 responses. Consequently, the Drug and Alcohol Office has reviewed the research questionnaire and methodology and extended the period of the study until the end of calendar year 2006. Since the survey was revised, there have been a further 82 responses. It is intended that the results from the survey will be analysed and incorporated into the statutory review of the Cannabis Control Act 2003 covering its three years of operation from March 2004. (2) Yes. (3) Not applicable.
