I refer to the sealing of the Western Australian (WA) section of the Outback Way (Great Central Road), and to the WA Government’s publicly stated commitment of $100 million and a projected completion date of 2030, and I ask: (a) what are the primary reasons the Cook Labor Government has not progressed sealing works at the same pace as other jurisdictions involved in the Outback Way project; (b) has any portion of the Commonwealth funding allocated for the WA section of the Outback Way been re-profiled, deferred, or unspent; and (c) if yes to (b), what amount, and in which financial years was it originally scheduled to be expended?
