The Minister Replied:
(1-4) The independent consultant's final report on the National Competition Policy legislation review of the Conservation and Land Management Amendment Bill 1999 and the Forest Products Bill 1999 has been received on 9 November 2000. The report is currently being considered by the Government and I will make a copy available to the Member as soon as possible. The consultant's draft report was provided to the Chair of the Legislative Council's Standing Committee on Ecologically Sustainable Development to assit that Committee's report on the legislation on the basis that it was a draft report which may be subject to amendment or correction at the consultant's discretion.
