· Ongoing accommodation refurbishment program ($4.955 million); and
· Other ongoing heritage and infrastructure works ($2.220 million).
Department of Sport and Recreation
· Contribution towards the installation of floodlighting at the petanque rinks at the Hilton Park Recreation Centre ($11,000 from the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund); and
· Contribution towards the installation of floodlighting at the East Fremantle Bowling Club ($10,730 from the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund).
Western Power
· Continuation of the State Underground Power Program in the Fremantle area ($4.115 million);
· Works to double the capacity of the transmission line from Kwinana to South Fremantle ($5.716 million). This project is located over the Alfred Cove electorate and the electorate of Cockburn; and
· Other transmission works ($837,000).
(c) Capital Works expenditure totalling $22.210 million was allocated in the electorate of Kalgoorlie in the 2005-2006 Budget. Details are as follows:
Department of Industry and Resources
· Completion of planning and construction of Stage 2 of the Kalgoorlie Complex ($3.225 million).
Department of Justice
· Commencement of works associated with the upgrade of the Kalgoorlie Court ($266,000); and
· Planning funding to commence construction of a new 12 bed secure Juvenile Detention Centre in Kalgoorlie ($250,000).
The Eastern Goldfields Transport Board
· Ongoing bus replacement program ($600,000).
Water Corporation
· Pipeline upgrades and additional storage on the Goldfields and Agricultural Water Supply ($14.355 million).
Western Power
· General distribution works across the Goldfields ($1.461 million);
· Goldfields Customer funded works ($1.162 million);
· Works on the Kalgoorlie Gas Turbines ($100,000); and
· Other transmission works in the area ($791,000).
