The Minister Replied:
(a) Current forecasts predict a modest increase in sales that reflects further customer losses due to the impact of deregulation and activities of competitors. Sales for the 2000/01 and 2001/02 years are expected to increase at 2% and 2.9% respectively.
(b) Western Power has no plans for increasing the capacity of Kwinana Power Station, but it does have plans for the replacement of plant that is at the end of its economic and technical life. These plans are subject to Cabinet approval.
(c) Not applicable.
(d) Western Power is working in complete compliance with the Act.
