(1) Has the Minister had discussions with the City of Swan or any other Government department regarding the Metropolitan Regional Scheme Amendment, and in particular the issue of reserve land for the realignment of the freight line from Woodbridge/Midland; and
(i) if yes, what was the outcome of these meetings?
(2) What action has been taken by the State Government to ensure that a land corridor is reserved for the future Midland freight rail realignment?

(1-2)  The Western Australian Planning Commission is committed to progressing the amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme to reserve land for the Midland freight rail line. Stakeholder meetings will be held to determine a preferred alignment, and further technical studies may be required, prior to formal initiation of the amendment.
