I refer to the Wallatin/O’Brien Catchment Demonstration Initiative and the need for monitoring of the 15 demonstration projects over the next ten years, and ask:
given the significant State Government investment into this and similar projects, will the Minister commit funding to ensure the monitoring necessary to evaluate the initiative is undertaken; and
if not, why not;
has the Minister requested funding for monitoring of the demonstration projects from the Treasurer;
if no to (b), why not;
if yes to (b), what was the outcome;
has the Minister requested Royalties for Regions funding for monitoring of the demonstration projects from the Minister for Regional Development; and
if no to (e), why not;
if yes to (e), what was the outcome;
is the Minister willing to commit Department of Agriculture and Food staff time to undertake the monitoring; and
if not why not?
