The Kimberley region of Western Australia is typically divided into 10 drainage basins, each associated with a major river system. River flows in the Kimberley region are variable, ranging from flood to drought.
Based on average annual flows the five largest rivers are Fitzroy with 9200GL, Ord with 3300GL, Drysdale with 1900GL, Lennard with 1700GL and the King Edward with 1500GL
