I refer to the Department of Water’s management of Water Resources, and ask -
(1) How many water allocation licences issued under the
Rights in Water and Irrigation Act
, and for what volume of water, were current at the end of each year, -
(a) 2007-08;
(b) 2008-09; and
(c) 2009-10?
(2) How many licences issued under the
Rights in Water and Irrigation Act
, and for what volume of water, were subject to compliance surveys for each year, -
(a) 2007-08;
(b) 2008-09; and
(c) 2009-10?
(3) In answer to question on notice No. 914, answered on 23 June 2009, the Parliamentary Secretary stated, ‘As part of its continuous improvement process to enhance compliance issues, the DoW has developed a performance indicator to measure proactive compliance monitoring with the target of spending not less than 10 percent of the resources allocated to the licensing function’, -
(a) how many resources did the Department of Water allocate to the licensing function, for 2008-9 and 2009-10; and
(b) how many resources did the Department of Water allocate to proactive compliance monitoring for 2008-9 and 2009-10?
