I refer to Minister’s media release, issued jointly with the Premier, of 27 November 2009 headlined ‘State Government launches blueprint for Pilbara’, and I ask:
(a) how many additional people have settled in the Pilbara since the Minister’s ground-breaking Government initiative to encourage more people to live and settle in the Pilbara was announced;
(b) what higher density centres have been completed since your announcement;
(c) when is the new marina and improved waterfronts in Port Hedland, Dampier and Onslow expected to be completed;
(d) how many of the high-rise apartments with air-conditioning, pools, green lawns and parks, similar to the development that has taken place in Darwin been commenced in:
(i) Port Hedland;
(ii) Karratha;
(iii) Newman;
(iv) Dampier;
(v) Tom Price; and
(vi) Onlsow;
(e) how many of the high-rise apartments with air-conditioning, pools, green lawns and parks, similar to the development that has taken place in Darwin been completed in:
(i) Port Hedland;
(ii) Karratha;
(iii) Newman;
(iv) Dampier;
(v) Tom Price; and
(vi) Onlsow;
(f) how many businesses not involved in the mining, oil and gas sectors have been enticed to the region since the Minister’s announcement;
(g) how many of the 100 homes in the village for service workers have been completed for occupation by residents and what is the weekly rental for these homes;
(h) how many homes are complete for occupation in the permanent and temporary workers accommodation provided by Auzcorp as referred to in your statement, and of these Auzcorp houses:
(i) how many are occupied by permanent residents; and
(ii) what is the weekly rental for these homes?
