I thank the member for some notice of this question. I found the questions a little difficult to understand. I will give the member a response, but he might like to have a chat afterwards if he is not comfortable with it. (1) Western Australia administers a number of rebate schemes that support solar photovoltaic generation and solar water heating. These schemes are independent of households choosing to purchase energy from renewable energy sources such as GreenPower products. As I am sure the member is aware, they are completely different identities. (2) In a 2007 report “Knowing What We Are Getting” the Auditor General found that the government-owned electricity retailers purchased a majority of its renewable energy certificates required to meet their national mandatory renewable energy target and national GreenPower Accreditation program liabilities from Western Australian sources. I am pleased about that. (3) Refer to answers to questions (1) and (2).
