I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes, but the deed of undertaking also involves matters in addition to the supplementary property purchase program. (2) (a) Apart from the SPPP, the deed involves commitments by Alcoa to do, or to fund, the following: health surveys in the local community around the Wagerup alumina refinery; an ambient air quality monitoring program; and the continuation by Alcoa of its land purchase program in areas A and B near the refinery, and in the towns of Hamel and Yarloop, but with the application of the Harvey-Waroona valuation index to relevant properties. (b) The principles of the deed were negotiated directly between the government and Alcoa. The deed is in draft form for review by the parties, being the state and Alcoa. Once the deed has been approved by cabinet, it will be executed by Alcoa and the state.
