RATES — WEBSITE FIGURES
608. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the minister
representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the Department of Local Government and Communities website,
mycouncil.wa.gov.au.
(1) Is the minister aware that the figures
relating to rate increases used on the DLGC website are significantly different
from the figures released by the Western Australian Local Government
Association on its knowyourcouncil.com website?
(2) Is the minister of the view that his department's figures
are inaccurate?
(3) If yes to (2), what is the reason for
these inaccuracies and has he directed the department to rectify them?
(4) If no to (2), can the minister explain
how his department calculated its rate increase figures and how he defends the
use of these figures?
