652. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the Leader of
the House representing the Minister for Finance:
I refer to question without notice
626 to the Minister for Finance concerning planning for the Housing Authority's
proposed move from East Perth to Fremantle.
(1) Has a site or sites been
identified as suitable accommodation for the proposed move to Fremantle?
(2) If yes to (1), what location or
locations have been identified?
(3) Has an agent been engaged to
scope suitable accommodation; and, if so, what is the name of the agent?
(4) Has a tender
for the lease of office accommodation and/or office fit-outs been issued; and,
if so, on what date or dates?
(5) Will accommodation be leased or
purchased?

Ltd has been engaged by the Department of Finance to assist with procurement of
office accommodation in Fremantle should the government decide to proceed.
(4) On 5 August
2015, the Department of Finance issued an expression of interest for the
provision of up to 20 000 square metres of office accommodation in Fremantle.
On 14 March 2016, the department issued a restricted request for proposal to
the short-listed expression-of-interest proponents. This closed on 11 April
2016. No tender for office fit-outs has been issued.
