I refer to the Hanson’s Red Hill Quarry’s current 5.4 hectare expansion and ask -
(1) Was an application made under Section 18 of the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
as part of this application for expansion?
(2) Was an ethnographic and/or archaeological site survey of the 5.4 hectare expansion area carried out prior to approval?
(3) If yes to (2), -
(a) who performed this survey; and
(b) how many indigenous people were consulted for the purposes of the survey?
(4) If no to (2), how can we be confident that no Aboriginal heritage sites were in the area?
