Appropriation (Consolidated Fund) Bill (No. 5) 2006
in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, 5 April 2007, in particular reference to the Trade Union Education Fund, I ask -
(1) Has the Treasurer referred to the Minister my question in relation to the government paying $1.5 million of taxpayers’ money to the Union Education Foundation, established under the auspices of the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU)?
(2) Can the Minister provide a breakdown of what the $1.5 million of Western Australian taxpayers’ money has specifically been used for by the Union Education Foundation?

All of the grant provided to TUEF will be used to provide training services in Western Australia. As part of its contractual obligations, TUEF will be required to meet a series of deliverable outcomes, and to regularly report on its activities and progress.
