I refer to the minister’s statement on Thursday, 6 May 2004, concerning the report into the treatment of Neil Moore at the Kenwick School. (1) How many pages comprise the full report? (2) Has the Director General, Department of Education and Training, given a written apology to Mrs Sheila Simons for any breakdown in communication and the distress it has caused her, and/or for any heartache the events at Kenwick may have caused? (3) If so, has Mrs Simons - (a) been invited to meet with, or receive a visit from, the director general or another senior officer to view and discuss the full report and related matters; or (b) been offered the opportunity to receive or at least view a copy of the full report, with individual names removed, if necessary? (4) Conversely, has Mrs Simons been advised that if she wishes to view the full report, she may make a freedom of information request? (5) What would be the cost of such an FOI request? Hon GRAHAM GIFFARD
