SHOW-CAUSE NOTICE —
TOWN OF PORT HEDLAND
595. Hon ROBIN SCOTT to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Local Government:
(1) Can the
Leader of the House confirm that the minister has issued the Town of Port
Hedland with a notice to show cause why the council should not be suspended for
six months?
(2) If the
council is suspended, will the minister appoint an administrator, and has a decision
been made about who that administrator will be?
(3) Will the
minister table correspondence relevant to the possible suspension of the
council of the Town of Port Hedland?

(1)–(3) A
show-cause notice was issued on 31 May 2019 and the Town of Port Hedland now
has 21 days to respond. No decision has been made to suspend the council.
