(1) (a) During the period 2004 to 2006, sawmills have reported green-sawn recovery rates of 33 - 43% (average 37%) for jarrah depending on the nature of the logs and their sawmill technology. Higher rates have been achieved in some circumstances.
(b) Approximately 12% depending on saw technology
(c) The remainder is recovered to various products or residue
(2) (a) As for jarrah, reported recovery for karri is 38 - 55%.
