ROE
HIGHWAY STAGE 8 — FEDERAL FUNDING
916. Mr B.S. WYATT to the
Treasurer:
My supplementary question is: what is the amount committed to
by the federal government for Roe 8?

AnswerView source ↗

When the member for Victoria Park gets to be Treasury head
some day in the long distant future—if he sticks it out—he will
find that it goes out to tender.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER :

The SPEAKER : Short

Questions without Notice Resumed
Dr M.D. NAHAN : I

sum until we know what the sum is. Does the member understand that?
Mr B.S. Wyatt : You
did that before with Roe 8 and stage 2.
Dr M.D. NAHAN :
Until we know what the sum is, neither we nor the commonwealth will commit to
it. I tell members what: it is a hell of a lot lower than you guys think!
