many cited stress or burnout as a reason for their resignation in their
departmental exit survey?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following response has
been provided by the Minister for Education, and I provide it on behalf of the
Leader of the House.
(1) There were 664.
(2) There were 514.
(3) There were 253. Teaching staff are defined as
all staff employed under the Teachers Award, excluding school psychologists. It
is not possible to separate primary and secondary teachers in the department's
staff exit survey as it is anonymous. Response figures are representative of
the survey completion date and are not necessarily aligned with resignation
date. Therefore, the responses in (3) may not be from the staff identified in
(1) and (2).
