For each Department and Agency within the Minister’s portfolio, will the Minister provide from each Department and Agency financial system -
(1) The amount and number of creditors outstanding for greater than 120 days, as at 31 December 2006?
(2) What measures, if any, have been taken in the period between 1 July 2006 and 31 December 2006 to expedite payments to creditors?

Department of Corrective Services
(1) $257.00 owing to two creditors.
(2) Every effort is made to pay creditors within 30 days. However, this is not always possible because of disputed accounts, invoices received late and invoices misdirected. In order to expedite payments to the Department's customers, an electronic certification system was introduced to speed up and improve the accuracy of the payment certification process.
SBDC
(1) The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) has no creditors outstanding for greater than 120 days, as at 31 December 2006.
(2) Nil
Federal-State Relations
(1-2) The response will be forthcoming from the Minister for Federal-State Relations.
