JANUBURU SIX SEASONS ESTATE
725. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the
Minister for Housing:
My question was directed to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing. I hope that the minister is
following up on that. I refer to an area of residential dwellings in Broome
located within the southern stage of the Januburu Six Seasons estate, developed
by LandCorp.
Could the minister please advise how
many dwellings in this area are —
(a) owned by the Department of
Communities or associated state government agency;
(b) managed by
the Department of Communities;
(c) are owned by
Department of Communities and managed by a non-government organisation; or
(d) are otherwise
classified as community housing but may not be owned by the Department of
Communities or another WA state government agency?

On behalf of the Minister for
Environment, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The
following information has been provided by the Minister for Housing.
I
understand that the area of the Januburu Six Seasons Estate to which the member
is referring is stage 4 of LandCorp's development bordered by
Conkerberry Road, Wudarr Bend, Magurr Nook, Gularr Street and Gunurru Lane.
(a) The Department of Communities owns 14 dwellings in
stage 4 of the Januburu Six Seasons Estate.
(b) The Department of Communities manages 17
dwellings, of which eight are Government Regional Officer Housing
dwellings, four are leased, four are non–government organisation
dwellings and five are public housing dwellings.
(c) One dwelling
is owned by the Department of Communities and managed by a community housing
provider.
(d) The Department of Communities
does not have access to this data.
