I refer to the answer to Question Without Notice No. 417 asked in the Legislative Council in relation to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services developing a business case and project definition plan for the Bushfire Centre of Excellence, and ask: (a) whether the business case is complete; (b) if not, when will it be completed; (c) if so, please list the location options; (d) if so, has the business case been taken to Cabinet for consideration; and (e) if it has been taken to Cabinet for consideration, what location is preferred by the Minister and by the Premier?

(a)       Recommendations for the location of the Bushfire Centre of Excellence will be presented to the Minister and Cabinet for consideration following the Request for Proposal evaluation process currently underway.
(b)       The Request for Proposal closed on Wednesday 24 th October 2018. Recommendations are being developed and will be presented to the Minister in due course.
(c)        Not applicable
