I refer to the Government’s election commitment of $6.7 million towards four new outdoor covered courts for the Karratha Netball Association, and I ask:(a) has the funding been formally allocated in the State Budget;(b) if yes to (a), under which program or funding stream;(c) has a formal funding agreement been executed with the Karratha Netball Association;(d) if yes to (c), on what date;(e) if no to (c), when is it expected to be finalised;(f) what is the current status of the project:(i) has planning commenced;(ii) have design works been completed; and(iii) has the project gone to tender;(g) what is the expected timeline for:(i) commencement of construction; and(ii) completion of the four outdoor covered courts;(h) what consultation has occurred with:(i) the Karratha Netball Association;(ii) the local government authority; and(iii) other community sporting groups;(i) has the total project cost been updated since the election commitment was made;(j) if yes to (i), what is the revised cost;(k) in reference to (i), will the State Government cover any cost overruns;(l) are there any co-contributions required from:(i) the Karratha Netball Association; and(ii) the local government;(m) if yes to (l)(i) and/or l(ii), what are the amounts;(n) what economic and community benefits has the Government identified as part of this project, including participation growth and regional development outcomes;(o) will the Minister table any business case, feasibility study, or cost-benefit analysis associated with this project;(p) can the Minister confirm whether local contractors and suppliers will be prioritised during construction;(q) have any delays occurred in delivering this election commitment;(r) if yes to (q), what are the reasons for those delays; and(s) how many similar election commitments for community sporting infrastructure remain outstanding across regional Western Australia?

(a-s)     Funding has been allocated as part of an election commitment to the local government      led project through the Slam Dunk for Community Sport Package
The Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) and the City of             Karratha (the City) have both engaged with the Karratha Netball Association through          meetings and ongoing communication.
As this is a Local Government project, it is the City’s responsibility to develop and           distribute completed planning documents.
