I refer to fire safety systems at the new Perth Arena and ask: (a) has the Department of Fire and Emergency Services made a report to the Commissioner of Public Health concerning those fire safety systems in accordance with section 48 of the Fire Brigades Act 1942 ; and (b) what action does the Minister of Health intend to take to ensure that the Perth Arena is safe to occupy as a Public Building in accordance with the Health (Public Building Regulations)?

(a) No. The Executive Director of Public Health has not received a report from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) on fire safety systems at Perth Arena.
(b) Perth Arena was constructed as a Crown-owned building and therefore was not required to comply with the Health (Public Buildings) Regulations 1992.
