(1) The National Tourism Signage Reference Group provided significant assistance to the Australian Standards MS-012 Committee in reviewing Australian Standard AS1742.6 (Tourist and Service Signs), which was updated and published in 2014.
(2) The Government has undertaken a number of measures to remind international drivers of the need to keep left including:
- A trial of road safety reminder signs on Caves Road in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.
- Installing arrows on Forrest Highway at major intersections to indicate the correct direction of travel.
- Overseeing a number of tourist destinations in Margaret River installing road safety reminder signs near their property.
