I refer to the announcment by the then Prime Minister Tony Abbott on 11 August 2015 that Australia would adopt a 26 to 28 per cent carbon reduction target, and I ask: (a) has any agency in your portfolio provided advice to you on the impact on Western Australia of this target: (i) if yes, which agencies have provided this advice, and on what dates; and (ii) is this advice provided to you in writing and, if so, what is the name of this document or these documents, what dates are these documents and who is the author of any such document?

(a)(i)-(ii) The Department of Environment Regulation (DER) has provided general information regarding the Australian Government’s 2030 target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 26 to 28 per cent below 2005 levels. Briefing notes were provided by DER on 2 September 2015 and 27 October 2015.
