I refer to the North Beach Redevelopment project, which aims to create a mix of social, affordable and private housing, and note that community engagement on the project was completed in 2018 and 2019, and tenant relocations have been finalised in March 2023, and I ask: (a) what is the current status of this project; (b) is the Government continuing with this project; (c) when will expressions of interest be invited from the community housing sector, and developers; and (d) when will this project be completed?

(a)-(d)
The State Government has inherited ageing and inappropriate housing stock that had not been maintained, refurbished and was in poor condition, due to the mismanagement of the previous Liberal-National Government.
The State Government is continuing to progress significant redevelopment and renewal projects like North Beach, that were neglected for years under the previous Liberal-National Government.
The previous Liberal-National Government failed to secure the purchase of the final two privately owned properties within the complex during their ten years in government. However, the State Government has successfully worked to purchase these properties, and demolish the site.
The State Government is progressing detailed planning for the site, and the approvals process is currently underway.  A further announcement on the project will be made in due course.
