I refer to the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health's response to the grievance raised by the Hon. Mia Davies on Thursday, 12th September 2024, regarding palliative care at the Cunderdin Health Centre, and I ask: (a) How many times have Western Australia Country Health Services (WACHS) and the Cunderdin Shire met regarding Cunderdin Health Centre operations since 2019; (b) Has the Minister for Health, or anyone in her department, been briefed on the Cunderdin Shire’s concerns regarding palliative care options available at the Cunderdin Health Centre; (c) Please outline the palliative care services currently available at the Cunderdin Health Centre: (i) Is the room used for palliative care services and beds built-for-purpose; if not, what was the original purpose of the room; (d) How many full-time staff members are employed at the Cunderdin Health Centre (FTE); (e) How many overnight observation beds are available at the Cunderdin Health Centre; (f) How many patients have required overnight observation beds at the Cunderdin Health Centre since 2019: (i) Please breakdown by year; and (g) How many patients have been admitted to overnight patient beds at the Cunderdin Health Centre since 2019: (i) Please breakdown by year?

(c)     At Cunderdin Health Centre and in the community, a Multidisciplinary team provides Palliative Care, End of Life Care and Bereavement Services (including Palliative Care support packages) to referred patients.
(i)      The facility has been re-purposed from a group therapy room.
(d)     14.72 FTE
(e-g)   Cunderdin Health Centre does not have any overnight observation beds. Patients may remain in the emergency department until able to be transferred to another facility with an inpatient ward.
