(1) The ECC has been provided one off funding of $100,000 in financial year 2009/10 to provide the following services:
· Undertake three metropolitan and one regional consultation (Bunbury) with culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities on issues including health, education and housing;
· Advocacy and follow up on issues raised in these consultations with appropriate government agencies;
· Follow up on outcomes in relation to consultations previously undertaken in Katanning and Geraldton;
· Develop and submit four policy papers, with at least two relating to State Government issues;
· Undertake a member satisfaction survey; and
· Produce six communications or publications for members.
(2) As with all eligible organisations, the ECC will be able to apply for the next round of Ethnic Organisations Fund grants available in 2012 and can also apply to the Office of Multicultural Interests' Community Grants Program.
