The Department of Housing and Works advises:
1) Major items to be undertaken include external painting and repairs including replacement of verandah flooring, replacement fencing where required, stump upgrade as required, some new windows, ceiling and wall replacement in some rooms, new kitchen fit-out, bathroom amenity upgrade, floor replacement in wet areas, plumbing and electrical upgrade where required and a complete internal paint.
2) The Collie New Living Program assesses properties 35 years and over for refurbishment and upgrade, or stock replacement. The property referred to, 2 Doyle Street, Collie, is structurally sound and was assessed by the Department as suitable for retention and refurbishment.
